On Jan. 8, it was announced that five players from the 2023-24 Salamanca football team were named to the New York State Sportswriters Association Class C All-State teams.
Quarterback Maddox Isaac and wide receiver Cory Holleran were both named to the First Team Offense while defensive lineman Warrick Kyler and linebacker Zach Trietley were named to the First Team Defense. Running back Xavier Peters was named to the Second Team Offense.
Salamanca, after its run to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Final, was one of just three schools that had four players named to the Class C All-State First Team. The other two being eventual NYSPHSAA Class C champions Schuylerville and Waverly.
The Warriors also had tight end Payton Bradley and placekicker Easton Chudy listed as honorable mentions.
