Mark Farrell, 70 of Limestone died Sunday November 17, 2024 after living a life he’d describe as “finer than a frog hair.”
Born July 1, 1954, he was the son of the late George R and Patricia L (Clark) Farrell JR. Mark loved all things outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing, gathering mushrooms, and picking leeks to make Farrell’s famous leek sausage.
A 1972 Graduate of Otto-Eldred High School, Mark spent time as an accomplished drummer, even sitting in with Ronnie James Dio before beginning a career as an electrician with Hull Electric.
Food was Mark’s love language and for decades he could be seen behind the window at the legendary dinners at the Limestone Sportsmen’s club. He was a charmer of both animals and children, affectionately known as “Grumpy” to his grandchildren who adored him.
He is survived by his daughter Hilery K (Brenden) Fox, his son Ryan Farrell, his granddaughters Sagan and Eliot Fox, his sisters Renee Bryant, and Sandra Tully and his beloved extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother David. A celebration of life is being planned at a later date. Memorials of desired made by made to the Limestone Sportsmen’s Club P.O. Box 278 Limestone, NY.
